Longsword

The Longsword is one of the three swords available in the game, or the default on apprentice difficulty. It's slower to attack but faster to defend with than the Rapier, and faster to attack but slower to defend with than the Cutlass, resting solidly between them in both respects. Because of its versatility, it's a good weapon for newer players to the game, or those who find the dueling minigame difficult, given that it lacks the weaknesses of both the remaining weapons (although it lacks their strengths as well).
